Sundays
at 10.30
Our Sunday morning meetings are an important part of being an extended family.
What happens on Sundays?
Sunday mornings are informal and do not follow a strict pattern. We usually begin with singing our worship to God, using a mix of contemporary songs and classic hymns, led by a worship leader and the band. Within this time of worship we pray and seek to encounter God. At each meeting there is a 25 minute talk explaining the Bible and an opportunity to respond in more worship and get prayer.
-
The whole service lasts for just about an hour and a half. If you are watching live on YouTube or Facebook then we have chat enabled throughout the service so you can say hello or ask any questions you have.
-
We offer prayer in person and have a text number for our online congregation to use. Tea and coffee are regularly served after our meetings so feel free to hang around and chat.
We also regularly celebrate believer’s baptisms as part of our meetings.
-
You can watch our recent services and talks on YouTube at any time, this is the best way to get a feel for what our meetings are like.
The service is livestreamed each week.
-
The building is wheelchair accessible, we have a hearing loop fitted and provide the songs on Sundays in large print and braille.
-
Only registered assistance dogs may be brought into the building.
Holland Road Baptist Church is just up from the seafront and Hove Lawns, and a 15 minute walk from Brighton city centre.
Getting to us
Are Sundays suitable for my kids?
Our services are always family-friendly and usually include a section focused on kids near the beginning; this usually includes a children’s song and a family focused message. We also offer a full programme of groups for children and young people aged 0 – 16. You need to register your child with our welcome team on arrival as capacity is limited.
Kids
We offer a programme for children aged 2 to 11 every Sunday.
The family room is for those who have a child under 2. You can continue to watch the Livestream on a screen in a more relaxed setting with sofas, feeding chairs and toys for the little ones.
Youth
Young people in years 7 to 11 can join our Youth Sundays programme to spend time with their friends whilst getting some great teaching .
Older youth usually stay in the service with the adults.
