Alpha
Course
Alpha provides a chance to ask questions in an informal setting and find out more about the Christian faith
What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in an open, non-threatening setting through thought-provoking, weekly sessions. It is low-key, friendly and fun and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.
At each meeting there will be food, a talk and open group discussions. It’s a great way to explore life’s big questions and to ask those questions you’ve always wanted to ask!
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha has been designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers and each course is open to everyone who would like to attend. Alpha has been done by 27 million people in 169 countries worldwide.
Guests attend for a wide variety of reasons – some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others just want to understand other peoples’ beliefs or would like to explore what the purpose of life is.
To find out more please see the official Alpha website.
