Privacy Statement for initial contact with Holland Road Baptist Church

If you are already part of Holland Road (member or in community or on a team) then please refer to this general privacy statement instead.

We are collecting this information to enable the church to be in touch with you, to share information about the life of the church. We will not share your information outside of Holland Road. Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information, as agreeing to this privacy notice gives your consent to do so.

Your name, the contact details and any communication preferences you have given us, will be entered into our church database, which is managed securely in ChurchSuite and accessible via the internet to staff and key leaders, using password protected accounts. Your data will be removed from our database, if you ask us to do so (church office: 01273 732111 or office@hrbc.org.uk) or if we believe that you are no longer connected to Holland Road.

We would love you to become more involved with the Holland Road family and if you do, then we will issue a new privacy statement, so that we can store further data about you, for example any teams or communities that you join.

If you gave us an email address, then you should receive a login to MyChurchSuite to see and update the contact details we have for you. We will encourage you to keep your information up to date via MyChurchSuite or by contacting the church office. Any queries please contact the church office.

Under Data Protection legislation the church Charity Trustees of Holland Road Baptist Church are the Data Controller. You have the right to ask to see any information we hold about you by submitting a ‘Subject Access Request’ to the church office. If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled, please speak to the church office or any of the leaders. If you are still unhappy you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
