Our leadership team is made up of Elders and a team of Deacons. Some of these are also staff who work alongside many wonderful volunteers involved in every area of church life. Without these volunteers we would be unable to function!
David was appointed by the church to be an elder and senior pastor in May 2007. He first became a member of Holland Road in 1998 when he was working nearby as a consultant engineer and was invited to join the staff in 2002 as an Assistant Pastor. David grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of a missionary family and has a strong connection with all things African!
David is passionate about teaching God’s Word, about a life filled with the Spirit and reaching out to those both in our local community and around the world. He has a Masters from Spurgeon’s College in Applied Theology and lives locally with his family; wife Laura, daughters Lila and Amy and son Jonah.
Tim started coming to Holland Road in 1997 as a student from Sussex University where he also met his wife Laura. They live in Hangleton with their children, Joseph and Thea.
Tim has been on staff since 2003 and is an elder. He leads our fantastic worship team and helps to oversee the preaching and Sunday gatherings. Tim loves all things associated with the sea especially windsurfing.
Mike and Sarah first joined the church in the summer of ‘88, newly married and new to the area. They have either served or led the children’s ministries at Holland Road since then.
Mike, a big-kid himself, loves the night sky, farming games and all things Dr Who. All three of their children are now married off but their house is anything but an empty nest; they lead and host a community in Portslade and love to welcome others into their home.

He volunteers for the church on Tuesdays. In his day job the rest of the week, he designs computer systems and similarly at church, has oversight for all things technical. In his spare time John likes running and watching Star Trek.
After two years on Transform, Jonny joined the staff team in September 2010. He is now an elder and holds responsibility for all our communications, communities and our systems. Together with Laura they lead a community.

Becca joined Holland Road in 2013 when she was the UCCF staff worker working with University students in the South East, and Dan joined in 2017 when he moved to Brighton to marry Becca. They both love this city! In 2019, Dan and Becca started working for Holland Road part time leading on Encounter and Internships. They also lead a community in their home and love being a part of it.
Becca believes there’s nothing better than brunch at the beach no matter what time of day it is, while Dan enjoys playing football, talking and being a bit of a geek. They both think they’re the best at Nerf Wars. Becca’s right.
Alongside working for Holland Road Becca works for the Prince’s Trust Charity and Dan works at the University of Brighton.
