David Treneer
Senior Pastor
David was appointed by the church to be an elder and senior pastor in May 2007. He first became a member of Holland Road in 1998 when he was working nearby as a consultant engineer and was invited to join the staff in 2002 as an Assistant Pastor. David grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of a missionary family and has a strong connection with all things African!
David is passionate about teaching God's Word, about a life filled with the Spirit and reaching out to those both in our local community and around the world. He is currently studying towards a Masters from Spurgeons College in Applied Theology. He lives locally with his family, wife Laura, daughters Lila and Amy and son Jonah.
Sean Avard
Church Manager
Sean grew up in Brighton and first came to Holland Road in 1993. In 2008 Sean followed God’s call to sell his business and join the staff team at Holland Road.
He is an elder and part of the core leadership team, overseeing our marriage and men’s ministries as well as managing the staffing and administration of the church. Sean is married to Ali and has three children.

Tim Vellacott
Associate Minister for Evangelism
Tim started coming to Holland Road in 1997 as a student from Sussex University where he also met his wife Laura, they now have two children. Tim has been on staff since 2003. He is an elder and part of the core leadership team and currently has oversight of local evangelism including Alpha and missional communties; he also oversees the students and youth work.
Tim leads the worship band, is one of the worship leaders and preaches regularly at Holland Road. When its windy Tim can be found on his windsurf board at the local beach.

Phillip Deuk
Community Chaplain
Phillip joined Holland Road in 1990. He is an elder of the church and is responsible for the pastoral care ministry. He is also part of the world missions team, coordinates our global partners and is also involved with local evangelism. Phillip is married to Wadia, has three grown up children and lives in Hove.

Olwyn Coppard
PA to leadership team
Olwyn supports the leadership team as well as David in his role as Senior Pastor - she is the administrative backbone of the church, performing many of the behind the scenes functions that make church happen. Olwyn is married to Chris and has four grown up children.
Matt & Charlotte Lovell
Children's & Family Worker
After two years on Transform at Holland Road, Matt joined the staff team in September 2010 and is now responsible for the children's programme, work within the local schools and leading our community of international people studying or working in Brighton and Hove.
Matt is married to Charlotte, they live in Portslade with their sons Milo and Barnabus. Matt is passionate about Jesus, football and cars.
Adam & Sarah Clayton
Youth Ministry Leaders
Adam started attending Holland Road as a University student and now leads the youth work along with his wife Sarah.
They have three young children and serve the church alongside their other commitments as a secondary school teacher and a vet.
Jonny & Laura Holman
Student Community Leaders
After two years on Transform at Holland Road, Jonny joined the staff team in September 2010 and is now responsible for all our communciations, the Transform training programme and the Alpha course. He has also been leading the student community along with his wife Laura since October 2008.
Jonny and Laura live in the heart of Brighton's student area with their daughters Jemima and Cleo and share a passion for Jesus, for discipling students and for seeing the city transformed by the love of God.
The Transform Team
Transform is our intensive, eleven month discipleship programme. Successful applicants volunteer to work for the church from September to August - like missionaries in Brighton. They serve right across the whole church from leading youth work to working with our seniors as well as cooking for Alpha and cleaning the church! The team undergo theological and practical training throughout the year and are taught various practical minstry skills in addition to undertaking a range of misson activities in the UK and abroad.
The programme has been running since 2007 and each team is made up of different people and giftings. This year's team is Jason, Katie, Josh, Tom and Lloyd.
