Holland Road Baptist Church

Hope is an opportunity to show God’s love in word and in action; this year we are focusing on the issue of homelessness.

When: Saturday 23rd-Sunday 24th June

Where: Across Brighton & Hove.

Did you know that Brighton and Hove has the highest population of rough sleepers outside London?

We want to shine a light on the sheer scale of this issue in our city, not only to our church family but to our neighbours too. We want to educate people on how you can best serve the homeless, above all we want show our faith compels us to act.

How can I get involved?

  • Visit the exhibit to find out what life on the street is, and isn’t like.
  • Hear from experts about how you can engage with those on the streets.
  • Serve on a practical work team.
  • Children can come and build a shelter as well as paint pictures which will form a ‘house’!
  • Join our prayer and connections team, driver or refreshments teams.
  • Join our donation sorting or distribution teams and get out on the streets to interact with those who live there. N.B. See list below for items we’re collecting.

  • Visit the exhibit (same at Saturday).
  • Come and pray at our interactive prayer wall, designed by our youth.
  • Serve on a practical work team.
  • Join our prayer and connections team, driver or refreshments teams.
